Camio currently provides real-time video search for manufacturing, logistics operations, multi-property management, healthcare, retail, and educational institutions across 35 time zones.
Position Mandate
As a Backend API Engineer you will design, expand, and maintain the Camio API. Camio converts real-time video feeds from cameras into actionable insights. The Camio API enables interaction with every component of this pipeline, enabling clients to extend intelligent video analysis to create solutions in every industry.
Candidate Profile
Must Have
3+ years of professional software engineering development experience
3+ years of experience working with distributed, highly available systems
Experience creating and maintaining extensible, modular, and secure APIs
Ability to write clean and concise documentation for both internal and external use
Verbal acuity to evangelize the API to external partners and to support their integrations
COVID-19 vaccination to be in-person in San Mateo, CA office
Nice to Have
3+ years of development with at least one of the major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure)
Experience with APIs and components of frontend frameworks like (Vue, React, or Angular)
Experience in collaborating with teams, communicating with users, leading projects, and influencing decision-making at various levels
Proficiency in code versioning systems such as Git
